Corredor dos Senandes Windfarm

The Corredor dos Senandes wind powerplant reduces global emissions by over 110,000 metric tons per year. Brazil, as a country with a growing population, has an increasing demand for energy which would historically be met by constructing fossil fuel burning powerplants. But, in some areas traditional powerplants are not profitable due to low populations leaving locals with inconsistent access to power making modern conveniences less accessible along with complicating the process of doing business. Since the construction of the powerplant the local community has seen an exponential increase in economic mobility and quality of life.
