Hydropower

Hydropower is generated by hydroelectric dams, which use the flow of water to spin turbines. Similar to solar and wind, hydropower is a clean and renewable source of energy. Hydroelectric power plants replace or reduce local reliance on fossil fuels, preventing carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere.
